The Kitson Boutique has been a celebrity favorite for a while, but when they have prices that are considered normal when over $100 for a single item, that’s where I draw the line. So instead of shopping at Kitson (that would surely end with me filing for bankruptcy) I look for similar items in stores like Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, Wet Seal, and many more.

The top on the left is from Kitson and costs $125, but you can get a similar look for only $17.80 by shopping at Forever 21.  Now which one would you choose - the expensive designer duds or the top that won’t have you begging your parents for more money but will still keep you looking JUST as good?

Oh my gosh. Am I ever lucky. By accident one day I came across one of my favorite vintage stores (well now it is at least :P) called Penelope’s Vintage. They have AFFORDABLE vintage! Which means that things aren’t priced at $80.00 or higher as a rule! Now, the dress above is priced at $80 (I guess I spoke too soon) but look how GORGEOUS it is! The dresses below are WAY less expensive (I saw one on the site for only $17.00!!).

All I have to say is that you have GOT to check out this online vintage store. It’s amazing the selection they have! But everything is one of a kind so make sure you purchase when you see it because there’s no guarantee that it will be there next time. Click here to purchase the yellow dress featured above. One thing I love about Vital Juice Daily is that they have easy and affordable solutions to better nutrition. Instead of buying all the 10 calorie bars out there, they use natural ingredients that are rich in all the vitamins you need daily. Check out these great tips on how to build a better salad!

Lettuce: Take advantage of market-fresh (and vitamin-packed) greens like radicchio, arugula, spinach, and endive (for a bitter kick). Choose 1 as a base, or mix and match, like in this recipe!

Veggies: Instead of your usual tomato, use colorful heirloom varieties or slice in a slightly zestier tomatillo. For a sweeter mix, add a peach or plum (try this peachy salad). Trade your cucumber for jicama, radishes or beets.

Add-ons: Sprinkle on fresh farmer cheese or diced avocado, or you can also experiment with toppings like coconut flakes (great over a spinach and strawberry salad), goji berries and flax seeds, which add crunch and fiber.

Dressing: Ditch heavy (and calorie-laden) dressings for a light, zesty one you can make yourself. Mix equal parts olive oil and lemon juice, add a dash of salt and chop in your choice of fresh herbs (like parsley, dill and cilantro).
