Jay Alexander Releases Book “Follow The Model”
You may already know Miss Jay Alexander from the hit tv series America’s Next Top Model hosted by Tyra Banks. Well Jay just released his first ever book called Follow The Model that teaches women how to live the way of Jay – full and fabulously.
This November 10th Jay will be in New York City for a signing of his book. Just visit the Barnes & Noble bookstore on 97 Warren Street, New York City at 7PM to meet him and get his book signed.

On October 19, Linda & Harriett will be giving away note cards in exchange for a promise to send the card to someone – just because. This specific day was chosen in honor of designer Liz Libre’s mom, Linda, because she always showed kindness and made people feel special – just because.
Simply email lindaandharriett@gmail.com by Monday at noon EST with your name and snail mail address; in return, they’ll send you a note card and envelope. Liz will also be personally giving away cards at Blue Sky Bakery in Brooklyn (53 5th Ave. between Bergen St. and St. Marks Pl.) on Monday from 10am to 1pm.

I can’t tell you HOW happy I am that we are seeing more of Ellen Page. She is one of my favorite actresses and ever since “Juno” she kind of sat on the back burner for a year or so. But now that she’s co-starting in a film with Drew Barrymore we’re seeing more and more of her

“Ellen has such a beautiful body, and I personally battled with my own body image for years. I used to tell myself, ;You can’t wear anything sleeveless or strapless.; And all of a sudden I was like, ;What if I just didn’t send such negative messages to my brain and said, wear it and enjoy it?; And now I’m more comfortable in clothes than ever.”
“She was in her frickin’ bra and with an open jacket and hot-pink shorts, skating around the rink with red lips and… and she was sexy as a mother…. a feral creature. It was great. And it’s so screwed up for girls to think, Oh because I don’t have that cookie-cutter model body, it must mean I don’t have the right body shape. And I love model bodies, but I just want women to embrace several body shapes. That’s the thing I love about derby. It’s really welcoming.”
